Global kitchen celebrates the ethnic diversity of Hastings by bringing together women from different cultures and with differing culinary skills together for a series of shared cooking experiences and using Hastings fish in the Classroom in the Coast. Organised and run by Hastings Women's Voice, the idea is to encourage use of local produce in traditional recipes. East African, Middle Eastern, Far Eastern, European and Caribbean cuisines have been showcased and stories and dishes shared. 15 women will receive Level Two Food Safety Training to enable them to set up a market stall, work in the catering industry, and register a home kitchen.
